May, 2012. Recognition of Strathmore Development Company’s financial support of the Sparrow Hospital Foundation. Strathmore Development Company contributions to the Sparrow Foundation were directed to the ongoing support of Women’s health issues. Over the last ten years the Sparrow Foundation has raised over $852,000 to support women’s health in the greater Lansing community. A recent acquisition which was made possible through funding from the Sparrow Foundation includes a stereotactic imaging system that affords each patient a timely and precise diagnosis for those individuals requiring breast biopsy. Sparrow conducts over 20,000 mammograms annually and an estimated 10% are suspicious and need further evaluation. Access to this type of cutting edge technology is what women in mid-Michigan need and deserve.

'50 COMPANIES TO WATCH IN MICHIGAN'
February, 2006. Recognition by the Edward Lowe Foundation. The goal of the program is to identify and honor 50 companies in Michigan facing growth issues rather than survival issues that exhibit one or more special strengths in the marketplace and create a solid basis for economic growth and community development. The companies awarded work behind-the-scenes generating the bulk of new, sustainable jobs and represent a powerful economic force underpinning the high quality of life most Americans enjoy. Headquartered in Cassopolis, Michigan, the Foundation was established by Edward and Darlene Lowe to "champion the entrepreneurial spirit." Strathmore received its award on April 19, 2006 at the "Michigan Celebrates Small Business" event held at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center. The Honorable Jennifer Granholm presented the opening address.
